Privacy Policy

Edge IQ collects only the personal information needed to run the service, and never sells it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Edge IQ (edgeiq.com.au) is an Australian horse racing analysis and selections service. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Questions about this policy go to info@edgeiq.com.au.

What we collect

We collect only what the service needs:

Your email address when you join our mailing list or start a membership.
Your name, email address and message when you use our contact form.
Membership and payment details. Stripe processes every payment. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us your name, email address and subscription status so we can deliver what you paid for.
Site usage information. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell us which pages are read, roughly where visitors are and what device they use. We see this in aggregate, not as a profile of you.
Anything you choose to send us by email or social media message.

How we use it

To deliver your membership: selections, editorials and member resources sent to the email address you gave us.
To manage billing, trials and cancellations.
To answer your enquiries.
To send our mailing list emails if you subscribed. Signing up is your consent under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it takes effect straight away.
To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.

Service providers and overseas storage

We use trusted third-party providers for payments, email, contact form delivery, website hosting and analytics. They handle data on our behalf under their own privacy policies. Some of them store or process data outside Australia, mainly in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Cookies

The site sets cookies for analytics only. You can block or delete them in your browser settings and the site will still work.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. If you unsubscribe or cancel, we remove you from active mailing lists.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email info@edgeiq.com.au and we'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Age restriction

Edge IQ is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time. The current version is always on this page with its effective date.
